Stephanie
Lechniak-Cumerlato
Founding Partner of Haunted Hamilton and Webmaster
Since
co-founding Haunted Hamilton with her husband Daniel, Stephanie
has set out to investigate old historic buildings in search of
a ghost. She still has yet to see one!
In
her full-time, Stephanie, also known as the "International
Woman of Web Design", can be found creating fabulous web
pages for her company that she founded, Space
Lemons. She graduated from Sheridan College in the
Art Fundamentals program, as well as graduating from Centennial
College's New Media Design program at the Bell
Centre for Creative Communications (where they filmed Degrassi
High!) After that, she began freelancing as a web and graphic
designer for 2 years, until starting up Space Lemons.
In
her free time, while not out chasing ghosts, Stephanie enjoys
birdwatching and hiking. She is a member of the Hamilton Naturalists'
Club, the Federation of Ontario Naturalists, and the National
Audubon Society. Her favourite movies are Napoleon Dynamite, Jay
& Silent Bob Strike Back, Gettysburg, Anne of Green Gables,
Chicago, Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal. She also loves playing
her piano, and her repertoir includes songs from Les Miserables
and Phantom of the Opera. She is also known for being the Queen
of Retro 80's songs, and her all-time favourite band is U2. Her
favourite place to travel is New York City, a city that she fell
in love with while on honeymoon!
Above
all, Stephanie wishes that the community and citizens of Hamilton
would learn to appreciate the city's historic and treasured buildings
and structures. She encourages people to not only learn about
the many haunted places within our city, but as well, to learn
about the very historic places that these hauntings take place
at. After all, "what good is knowing there's a ghost, when
you don't know why it's there?" |

Daniel
Cumerlato
Founding Partner of Haunted Hamilton
Being
the co-founder of Haunted Hamilton, Daniel has made it his personal
goal to learn as much as possible about Hamilton's fading history.
Daniel
is a full-time IT Analyst at Wakefield Canada, commuting from
Hamilton to Toronto everyday. Graduating Mohawk College from a
two year systems course in 1998, he had already begun his career
as a computer trainer for Mohawk faculty members. Wanting to further
his career, he left Mohawk and took a job with Bayer, prompting
a move to Toronto with his wife Stephanie over six years ago.
Daniel
enjoys spending some of his free time writing fiction, which includes
a project for a story website to begin later this fall. His other
passion is movies, favorites being Gross Point Blank, The Godfather
and Pump Up The Volume. His substantial taste for music spans
from hard-core rockers NIN all the way to classical composer Antonio
Vivaldi.
Haunted
Hamilton began as a hobby but has turned into much more. From
work he keeps the connection to HH by reading the message board
and proudly displaying the wallpaper on his screen for all coworkers
to see. Once at home, Daniel will spend his free time reading
and writing articles focusing around the historic buildings of
Hamilton. |

Kate
Kingston
HH Resident Psychic
Paranormal
Investigation became a part of Kate's life when she teamed up
with local legends Stephanie and Daniel Cumerlato of Haunted Hamilton
in 1999. Previously, she researched the unexplained privately
and did readings for friends and family only.
In 2003, Kate left
Southern Ontario for a summer in Thunder Bay, where her intuitive
abilities grew to a new level. She led the Thunder Bay Ghost Walks
in Port Arthur and Fort William, while conducting private investigations
for local residents/business owners. In the fall of 2003, she
rejoined Haunted Hamilton as an on-call investigator, and is back
in action now as their resident psychic!
Together
with HH and a few more groups, Kate has investigated quite extensively
in the Southern Ontario region and Upper New York State. She formed
the IPA Group of Southern Ontario in April 2006, in an effort
to join investigative forces with the groups she worked with.

he has lived in the area MUCH longer that that!

column for over 15 years, has had a weekly radio show and currently
appears on CH-TV weekly. Retired from the Hamilton Public Library

Kaymin
Haunted Hamilton Mascot
RIP:
Sept 15, 1999 - Oct. 26, 2007
Being
mascot for Haunted Hamilton is a great accomplishment for Kaymin.
His previous goal was to be the first cat to sleep three days
straight in an attempt to make the Guiness Book of World Records.
His hobbies include, rubbing against people, eating (food or anything
in sight), and looking unamused. He hopes to be featured in a
future article as a ghost-spotting animal. |

Angel
Haunted Hamilton Mascot
This
is the completion of many goals set by this feisty feline. Among
these dreams is to one day catch the magical light that moves
quickly on the floor and walls. Angels hobbies include,
staring at the wall with hopes that the light will return, eating,
and hopping against the backs of broken chairs to ride them to
the floor. He sees being an HH mascot as a chance to give back
to the people who control the light. |
